Not too long ago, Rudy Meulen announced that he has made the difficult decision to
stop with his web site polkahome.nl in September. With this decision Rudy will also
be stopping his monthly internet radio show Polka Time -
Rudy Meulen stopt binnenkort met zijn website polkahome.nl. Nog niet zolang geleden
maakte Rudy bekend dat hij dan ook gaat stoppen met zijn maandelijkse programma Polka
Time. Helaas komt er zo een einde aan een traditie van meer dan 5 jaar met een kwartiertje

Dear visitors,
Five years ago a Dutch polka fan, Mr. Rudy Meulen, wanted to share his knowledge
and love of polkas in The Netherlands. Once a month he created an internet radio
program called Polka Time in which he played favorite polkas and explained the history
of the song or the artist. It was his goal to spread the music throughout Holland
and surrounding countries, which he certainly did. In May of this year Rudy decided
to stop with his monthly program. I found it such a loss to the polka world that
I decided that I needed to continue this tradition. I discussed my idea with Rudy
and he thought it was a great idea. So starting this September 2010 I will be publishing
a monthly radio program also called Polka Time. It will only be 15 minutes but will
contain several Slovenian & Cleveland-
